Barekat Industries Development Company
Barekat Industries Development Company's broiler breeder farm was established in 1956 on a 200-hectare plot in Abik with a built-up area of 970,000 square meters. After a permit conversion, the farm is now dedicated to raising egg-laying breeders. This unit has a capacity of 218,000 egg-laying hens, producing over 20 million day-old chicks per cycle across three farms and 32 barns. In 2005, after extensive renovations and with a workforce of approximately 200, the farm resumed operations. Due to the vast land area, a portion of the land is cultivated with alfalfa and barley, using a sprinkler irrigation system to supply part of the farm's feed requirements. With ongoing plans and available resources, the company aims to expand its operations by constructing new barns and increasing production capacity.
